Not to sound like an idiot, but how do you mean that? Too much reverb. Think early Nostalgia Critic videos. Ah. Got ya. I sorta figured that's what you were saying, just wanted to verify. Hopefully this won't be a problem doing forward. The mic tests I've done so far have worked well I just need to find the best room for recording.

I'll watch the video when I get in front of a computer but I haven't watched the sequels since they were in theaters. I wonder what I would think of them if I watched them now.

I agree with most of the points in that video while basically disagreeing with the conclusion. The Matrix sequels are better than some of the hyperbolic criticisms thrown at them (most movies are) but man were those movies disappointing. They aren't the worst sequels ever but the fact that they had so many advantages and resources and just squandered them is kind of staggering. The sci-fi and philosophy just goes completely off the rails and they introduce way too many characters elements that fall flat while also kind of abandoning the core cast in a number of ways (Morpheus literally spends the whole third movie sitting on a ship if I recall).
Cool video though, well argued.

Excellent video. I remember liking the Matrix sequels as well, though it's been a while since I've watched either of them. Regardless, some solid points made here. Interested to see what you tackle next.

I'm well aware of his opinion on those movies.

Sorry I'm so late to respond to these. I agree with most of the points in that video while basically disagreeing with the conclusion. Ian made a similar point on my Letterboxd review for Revolutions and I can see why the things I really enjoy about each film only go so far for others. This is one of those instances where my younger age helps me. I saw all of the Matrix films at a pretty young age and all within the span of a year. Because of this, I never really had the chance to form expectations for the sequels. To some extent that might make it easier for me to accept them as they are instead of wondering what could have been. You know, I never really thought of that, but that's a pretty good point. I do think the film sort of makes up for that by giving Morpheus some of the more emotional moments in the film, but yeah, his service to the plot is almost nil. Thank you! These have been fun to make so hopefully they're fun to watch. Excellent video. I remember liking the Matrix sequels as well, though it's been a while since I've watched either of them. Regardless, some solid points made here. Interested to see what you tackle next. I can say with certainty that my next video should a lot shorter. I'm hoping between three to six minutes, tops. I'm happy with how my Matrix video turned out but 16 minutes is a bit much. I'm well aware of his opinion on those movies. There is perhaps something to be made about the Jack Sparrow character and how he's felt increasingly less human and more of a cartoon as the moves have gone on (and Verbinski has left the series). In particular I often think of the deleted scene from At World's End where he resisted The East India Trading Company's slave trade. A little moment like that one have gone a long ways to give the character some depth and a reminder that beneath the drunken swagger is a real person, albeit one whose been increasingly buried as the films have gone on. Unfortunately, I don't have the passion for those films as Phantom does, so I think you're gonna have to make that one

I found Reloaded a whisker away from being as good as the first one.
Revolutions fucked up royally, though.

Duuuuuuude, please do Ewok Adventures! Sneak peek: "The Ewok Adventure is the most disappointing thing since my daughter. How can you fuck up a spin off to Return of the Jedi? While my daughter eventually hanged herself in the bathroom of a motel 6, the unfortunate reality is that the Ewok Adventure will be around ... forever."

Good job man! Unfortunately I've never seen the sequels... But I plan on checking them out sometime soon.

Hurm...radio silence this time around. I made a thread for Godfather's 40th anniversary and only response was Doomsday masturbating to Part 3. SnoBorderZero only like Adam Sandler movies, I'm afraid. Anyway, here are my requests for future videos: 1) The Emoji Movie: Review 2) Dark Knight Rises: Why It Sucks 3) Blade Runner: Why It Sucks 4) Sicario: Why Dracula is Wrong 5) It: Review
