 Chris Pratt meets his father and learns that he's a demigod. Michael Rooker gets disowned by Sly Stallone. Green Girl and Blue Girl kiss and make up. Sort of. Guardians 2 is pretty good. Maybe better than the first. Maybe. Same dumb end-of-world shit but loads of fun. Good humor. Well done action scenes. Baby Groot is awesome. Dave Bautista is awesome. Kurt Russell is great. That Asian-Alien-Girl is cute. Rocket is the pet everyone wants. Soundtrack is pretty cool, first one better though. Stay for the end credits. |

I definitely wasn't feeling most of the music this time around, in terms of which songs were picked for each of the scenes. I'm also not a big Cat Stevens fan, so that didn't help. |

I personally like the soundtrack to the first one better. Good songs on Vol. 2, but there is something about Vol. 1 that just seemed to resonate more. |

My feelings on GotGv2 are comparable to most here. While not as good as the first, it doesn't suffer from the Sophomore slump most of the other MCU films had. The soundtrack isn't as good as the first, but it's still pretty good. Hollywood could learn a lot from this movie. The story never feels like there are things that are only included because there were ten different writers working on the screenplay. This is clearly James Gunn's singular vision for a movie, and it shows. All the character arcs work. All the quirky little moments work. GotGv2 is fun, action packed and makes you genuinely care for the characters. I'm glad that Nathan Fillion's cameo as Wonder Man got cut. I don't want him stuck as that character in the MCU.  |

All Ive heard was its not as good as Guardians 1 and that too me is lazy reviewing. No one really expects a Sequel to have the same magic as a first movie especially unknown product. Only Godfather 2 Empire Strikes Back, The Two Towers and Spiderman 2 in my book has out done or was better then a origin film in a movie franchise. The best question is Was Guardians 2 A Good Movie or a Bad Movie. Ill find that out for myself tomorrow.

First is a lot better, this is a decent sequel but it's hard to top the originality of the first film.
Micheal Rooker stole the show loved what they did with his character.
It's a fun movie, but don't expect anything big connecting to the bigger picture of the marvel universe. Except for one mention for thanos, and maybe a post credit scene at the end.

What I didn't like: This is likely to be a common complaint, but it really feels like the humour is out of balance this time around. Its like they said "people really liked the funny parts" and so cranked it up past a level where it works (look no further than the guardian's opening scene). There are jokes constantly, but some are in poorly chosen spots while others are just nonsensical (like most of Peter's earth references). This next point is more of a personal preference, but I don't care for the character of Yondu, and he was a big part of this second film. I felt like all the attention given to him detracted from the other characters I wanted to spend time with more. Also, an inordinate amount of focus was spent on his death. They needed to scale that back a bit.
What I liked: Ultimately, the saving grace of this film are the main characters. The 4 primaries are really a great cast, and their interactions with each other feel earned and special. Rocket remains the bet character in the series, while Peter and Gamora provide a solid central core. Drax is used a little more for comic relief this time, but I was mostly okay with it. |

This is my non Spoiler Review for Guardians Of The Galaxy 2
While I loved Guardians 1 and its my 3 rd favrite Marvel film after Avengers and Iron Man that being the MCU films. I got to say this sequel did not have that much of a drop off but then again i do love space sci fi stories. Guardians are just fun movies and you can either have fun with them or nick pick anc compare the films. Overall Rocket and Yondu stole the movie and believe it or not I did feel sorry for Nebula for she seemed too have been an abused victum more then Gamora or got more of Thanos Fury as a abusive parent. While i still like the first movie more this movie was not too bad for a Marvel Sequel which lets face it have there issues other then the Captain America franchise.
I Give the movie a 9/10 But Logan by far is still the best comic book film this year so far.

Compared to Guardians 1 which was a 10/10 for me to Guardians 2 which is 9/10. What I meant too say was the movie is not as bad as some have been saying and while it is not as good its still a good solid marvel movie. You kinda have too like the crazy universe James Gunn has created but then again his style may not be for everybody.
