What makes you think so? Are they showing the symptoms? Well, let me see if I can explain this as simply as possible.: My parents work in a factory making batteries (car, marine, etc. they often have Gov't contracts.) My mom has a partner that works with her on their machine. That woman was just sent home today to get tested because her husband was exposed at the local military base. So, they work in close proximity. Then, my Mom tells me that my Dad often has lunch at work with this other lady. I guess I'm just being paranoid, but now I'm really worried about them. Sorry to hear this, mate. Get them into quarantine and tested if possible, and remember that even with underlying conditions, the chances of somebody getting seriously ill from Covid are vastly lower than having mild symptoms, or none at all. They're both in work, so I'm guessing they're both in decent shape, health-wise? Keep us posted.

The issue is: the World has become too commercialized. No one wants to shut down because “it’ll destroy the economy.” What’s so difficult about suspending all bills and getting the military to deliver food & supplies? We could have knocked this out in a month. Tops.

He's still the mayor in Jaws 2! I suspect he spun the shark's murder as his accomplishment.

They just officially closed all city parks and sports fields. You know what has an exemption? Golf courses. And they are packed. Again, whats the point? We're so fucked.

They were clearly going off the public health advice of this expert: I've heard people argue that you can distance yourself on the golf course and what not, and I suppose that is true, but I actually near a golf course, and my wife drove by a different one recently, and if you're sharing a golf cart, or standing about a foot from the rest of your golfing buddies shooting the shit, then clearly, thats not working.

We have passed China as the number one spot for active and total cases. I don't believe they're playing ball and giving us accurate info. They're re-shutting movie theaters down.

I'm alive.
I work for a vastly rich tech company with deep pockets, and I'm salaried with plenty of job security.
I don't like working from home. I have been working some 12 hour days. I'm taking more walks outside, and battle ropes are on their way since I cant go to the gym now.
Every 30 minutes on Facebook is some post about "WHY ARE THE STORES SO EMPTY" and the irony of that is not lost on me and proves that people really are just dumb as shit. In case you're wondering why, the store shortages are due in part to social media craze driving people to run to the stores regularly to stock up on items they believe were in high demand because of ignorant Facebook posts about how certain products are running out. I keep telling people if they stop posting crazed shit, people will stop worrying about it and stop going to the store excessively. It's like shouting in the wind, though.
I have all I need, I'll ride this out. I'm just ready to go back to normal and not work from home anymore. Shit's annoying. I type and text all fucking day now, which is why I spend way less time on the internet and my phone outside of work hours.

Suck it up, bitch! The alternative could be death. We don't want that. Just wank more.

Both of my parents have it right now. My mom has most all symptoms minus the chest stuff and shortness of breath. My dad is asymptomatic and even with being a presumptive carrier (they confirmed my mom has all symptoms but since she is quarantining herself they refuse to use a test - what fucking twilight zone shit world am I in?) My dad is being a fucking asshole about it.
Asking me if this restauraunt is open, if x is still doing things, x y z. I can't get him to take this seriously. I'm at my wit's end. I can't go over and bar them from leaving the house I'm working from home daily and have been locked up for a few weeks now myself as I take these things seriously.
He takes care of his brother too and drops things off for him regularly. He's done it twice since my mom has gotten sick I keep imploring him to let me do these things and he's just waffling and more than likely thinking it isn't as big a deal. And they watch msnbc on a 24 hr loop, it shouldn't be this hard to explain the gravity of the situation.
Ugh.
