I'm usually picky about horror films, and this definitely looks like one I'll have to check out for myself. Plus, it's written and directed by Jordan Peele, of all people.

I think it looks interesting. It will be neat to see what Jordan Peele can do with horror. He claims to be a big fan of the genre.

So it had 100% on RottenTomatoes after the first press screenings at the end of January. With an 8/10 average from only 23 reviews, while certainly a good start, I figured it would likely change as it got later screenings. It's now up to 117 reviews and still at 100% with an 8.3/10 average.  |

I only had a half day of work today, so I managed to see this afterwards. I'll write up something a bit more formal soon, but for now, I REALLY liked it. Not quite sure I'd go so far as 100% on RT good, but definitely something well worth seeing. It functions as more of a psychological thriller than an outright horror movie, but the tension and atmosphere Jordan Peele manages to pull off is impressive, especially for a directorial debut. In fact, I kinda hope he does some more movies like these in the future. He's got talent behind the camera.
