Us devoted fans need this thread for the best show on TV.  What we know about Season 3 so far, namely from the Comic Con panel: - It won't start airing until April/May 2015. - Episode titles this time will be Italian dishes. - The first half of the season will be a loose adaptation of the Hannibal novel/film, with Lecter hiding out in Italy and being pursued by Pazzi. Then the second half will become Bryan Fuller's version of Red Dragon. - The fates of the FBI characters apparently won't be revealed until Episode 4. So the first three episodes are all about Hannibal and Dr. Bedelia living in Italy. And so the wait continues. |

So they're doing the Red Dragon thing this year? Interesting. My one concern has always been that the Tooth Fairy just isn't going to seem like that much of a threat given all the various freaks they've had to deal with all through the last two seasons. How are they going to make that guy seem like a uniuely challenging threat?

They've found interesting ways to subvert/play around with events from the novels and movies thus far, so I'm sure they have something just as good up their sleeves for that. Oh, and we might see more of Mason Verger next season, too.

I've been happily impressed with Hannibal's first two season. I never expected it to be that good, but alas, I was blown away. Hannibal made The Following look like total crap, lol. I can't wait for the new season.

I think Hannibal is the best show on network TV.
I have nothing but confidence in Fuller to continue with the highest quality. I'm more concerned about NBC finding a way to mess it up. Frankly I'm shocked they haven't screwed it up yet.
I read somewhere the season is going to be broken up in two a la Mad Men or Breaking Bad, leaving us hanging for a year when the Dragon story starts. Not sure if that is official.

Hannibal didn't even need to be in existence to make The Following look bad, as it did that on its own quite easily  As for Hannibal, I think I made it clear on the old board that it's my favorite show on the air. For those who are fans of the soundtrack, you'll be happy to know that the season two OST is available now, and features that great piece from the finale that anyone who watched the show will remember. |

I think they just mean the story focus will be split over the season; the first half will be about Hannibal in Italy, then the second half will be Red Dragon. |

The surprising bit of it all is that he wasn't fired. I have read stories about him being a nightmare on set. It's a shame, because the guy is talanted, but I can't imagine people are lining up to give him a job.

Well, Bryan Fuller has always said there are other interested parties in picking up the show if NBC cancelled it. Now, the question is, will this actually happen? I sure hope so. I'm not giving up hope yet. My money is on either Netflix or Amazon.
Anyway, Season 3 has been fantastic so far. |

Oh yeah, someone like Netflix has to pick this one up.
I'm not surprised they NBC axed it though the networks have a habit of dropping Fuller projects after 2 years or so - so many of his great ideas have bit the dust thanks to network asshats
