As someone who read the series back in high school, I have little faith in this. Most of the things for the film I've seen are in New York. Yeah, the characters travel through New York a bit in the series, but I never considered it a real focal point where most of the nitty gritty happened, unlike the actual wasteland world that Roland is mostly traveling in. I haven't read the series in 10 years or so, so maybe I'm wrong on that, but I'm troubled by the little I've seen thus far.

So it looks like, hopefully, they're just expanding on Jake and NYC a little bit to flesh out the story of the first book a bit more. Which is good, otherwise it'd be an 80 minute movie. Also, nice shot of the picture on the psychologist's desk.  |

 I'm going to have to see it anyways. I don't see Hollywood rebooting this is it fails. Hopefully it makes enough money to create the franchise, with enough reservations from the critics/audience that they fix the issues for the next chapter. |
