I don't know if you guys have talked about what happens when the old Forum closes, Is there a way to let someone know, that isn't around and comes back and goes what happened to the Forum?
Are you guys directing that with Comingsoon.net?

We could email some of them. It would take awhile, but we may.
If their registered email isn't active or used much, there's not much else that we can do.

Maybe ask CS to put a temp link on their new page, for maybe 30 days? Doubtful that would happen but would be nice of them to support the members who supported them.

Why not just keep it up? There's no reason keeping a link open to direct people here can be a bad thing and won't cost them anything to just have that info up.

You guys should at least send a mass e-mail to registered users informing them that the forums are closing. If people can get a "Happy Birthday" e-mail, they can get a "We're Shutting Down" e-mail.

Speaking of old members, anyone know what happened to sniktawt? When I came back I sent him an email to the addresses on his profile but never heard back. I always liked chatting with him but he seemed to quit shortly around the time I originally left =/

There's no harm in sending a mass e-mail to all registered users and letting them know what's happening. I still get "Happy Birthday" e-mails from message boards I haven't visited since College. So, I think it is possible to alert people and see if anyone finds their way here.

I don't know if I am one of the cool people but JBOND was nice enough to send me heads up email. Thanks for that. I was not ported over so I had to create a new user. I used to hang here often years ago but my office blocked access to the CS site so I only visit sporadically. I am Klimber (Climber) and I was a member of the CS Forums since the beginning.
So since this website is not blocked (yet), I will try to visit more often. I have great memories chatting and playing games with you fine folks.
