Marc Maron is currently my favorite comedian. I've been a fan since the 1990's when he used to make annual appearances on Conan. He, Dave Chappelle and Harland Williams were always hilarious on the show.

I think Maron's shows are kind of over rated personally. I get his style and what not, but I much prefer him as an interviewer.
Bill Burr has always been solid but his most recent show that I saw him at was sub par, but it was new material and he even said he doesn't like where his act is just yet. Hannibal Burress is pretty amazing. And we wouldn't be hearing anything about Bill Cosby without his stand up.

Hannibal Buress was in the right place at the right time. He didn't say anything about Bill Cosby that other people haven't said before. All he did was make today's youth aware of Bill Cosby and they all went on the Internet to bitch about Cosby.

OSCAR REWIND: 10 MOVIES & ARTISTS CELEBRATING BIG ANNIVERSARIES THIS YEAR!Past Lists: comingsoon.boards.net/post/2750comingsoon.boards.net/post/3083#10 - BLACK PEOPLE WON OSCARS 10 YEARS AGO!The BIG controversy this year is that no person of color was nominated in a major award. That wasn't the case 10 years ago! Jamie Foxx won Best Actor for Ray and Morgan Freeman won Best Supporting Actor for Million Dollar Baby. #9 - A BLACK MAN HOSTED THE OSCARS 10 YEARS AGO!I don't know what happened to the Oscars. They used to love Black people. They even got Chris Rock to host 10 years ago. Remember that? If you don't, let me refresh your memory. He was hilarious... but... he hurt some feelings along the way. Maybe we should blame Chris Rock for no Black people on tonight's Oscars. #8 - TOM HANKS WON HIS SECOND OSCAR IN A ROW!If life is like a box of chocolates, then Tom Hanks got all the good pieces. He won back-to-back Oscars for Best Actor. His first was for Philadelphia, and 20 years ago, he won his second was for Forrest Gump. #7 - A BLACK MAN WON AN OSCAR 25 YEARS AGO!Before Denzel Washington became the star of countless mediocre action movies, he acted in serious films. One of them was the Civil War drama, Glory. And for his work, he was awarded the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. #6 - DRIVING MISS DAISY WON BEST PICTURE!In the same year that Denzel Washington won an Academy Award, the Best Picture Oscar went to Driving Miss Daisy. It's a "prestigious drama" about Morgan Freeman driving an old lady to various destinations. I have to give the Oscars credit. They're consistent. #5 - "YOU LOVE ME! YOU REALLY LOVE ME!"One of the most famous speeches in Oscar history took place 30 years ago when Sally Field won Best Actress for Places in the Heart. She was so hungry for validation that she literally said, "You love me! You REALLY love me!" She hasn't won an Oscar since then. #4 - A BLACK WOMAN MAN WON AN OSCAR 30 YEARS AGO!30 years ago, Prince became an Oscar winner. He won Best Song for Purple Rain. Seriously! #3 - AMADEUS WON BEST PICTURE!In the same year that Prince won an Oscar, Amadeus won Best Picture. It's one of the few times that Best Picture went to the right movie. #2 - A LOT HAPPENED AT THE 1980 ACADEMY AWARDS!35 years ago, Meryl Streep won her first Oscar. She won Best Supporting Actress for Kramer vs Kramer. Dustin Hoffman also won his first Oscar that night. He won Best Actor for Kramer vs. Kramer. And, in a controversial decision, Apocalypse Now lost Best Picture to Kramer vs. Kramer. Also, Sally Field - remember her - won her first Oscar for Norma Rae. #1 - STUFF I COULDN'T FIT IN A TOP 10 LIST!40 years ago: The Godfather Part II won Best Picture and Robert De Niro won Best Supporting Actor for The Godfather Part II. 45 years ago: Midnight Cowboy became the ONLY X-rated movie to win Best Picture. John Wayne won his ONLY Oscar for True Grit. It was for Best Actor. 50 years ago: Julie Andrews won Best Actress for Mary Poppins. Goldfinger became the first James Bond movie to win an Oscar. It won for Sound Editing. 55 years ago: Ben-Hur won 11 Oscars including Best Picture. It's a record. 60 years ago: Marlon Brando won his first Oscar for On the Waterfront. It was for Best Actor. Grace Kelly won her ONLY Oscar for The Country Girl. It was for Best Actress. 75 years ago: Gone With the Wind won Best Picture. Hattie McDaniel became the first African-American to win an Oscar. She won Best Supporting Actress for Gone With the Wind. Somewhere Over the Rainbow, from The Wizard of Oz, won Best Song. 80 years ago: And finally, It Happened One Night became the first movie to win in ALL major categories.

10 OTHER MOVIES TO WATCH IN SUMMER 2015!The Avengers. Mad Max. Jurassic World. There's a lot to be excited about this summer, but if last year taught us anything, it's to be on the lookout for what's referred to as "alternative programming." Last summer, we got Boyhood, Chef, and if I'm not mistaken, Snowpiercer. So what hidden gems do we have this year? #10 - MAGGIE (MAY 8TH)Before audiences can watch Arnold Schwarzenegger in the new Terminator, they'll get a taste of his dramatic chops in the zombie film, Maggie. He plays a father whose young daughter is turned into a zombie and he does everything he can to stay by her side. #9 - ALOHA (MAY 29TH)Fresh from their Oscar nominations, Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone star in Cameron Crow's latest romantic comedy. Bill Murray is also in the movie. #8 - TRAINWRECK (JULY 17)Opening opposite Marvel's Ant-Man is Judd Apatow's latest directorial effort. #7 - SELFLESS (JULY 31)From the director of The Cell - remember that movie - Selfless is a science-fiction movie about a dying man (Ben Kingsley) who transfers his mind into the body of a healthy young man (Ryan Reynolds). #6 - SOUTHPAW (JULY 31)Opening on the same day as Selfless is Antoine Fuqua's Southpaw. Not much is known about the movie except that Jake Gyllenhaal got ripped for it. Will this finally be his chance at an Oscar nomination for Best Actor? Time will tell. It should also be noted that Selfless and Southpaw are currently scheduled on the same day as Mission Impossible 5. #5 - MASTERMINDS (AUGUST 7)Jared Hess, the man who gave us Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, is back with Masterminds. It's produced by Lorne Michaels and stars Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig and Jason Sudeikis. It's based on a notorious bank robbery that took place in North Carolina in 1997. #4 - RICKI AND THE FLASH (AUGUST 7)Jonathan Demme. Diablo Cody. Meryl Streep. Rick Springfield. That's not a combination you see everyday. #3 - STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON (AUGUST 14)The timing could have been better for this biopic about the groundbreaking rap group, NWA. Last summer, for example, would have been perfect. #2 - CRIMINAL (AUGUST 21)Gary Oldman, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones and Ryan Reynolds star in an action-thriller about the CIA seeking the help of a criminal. It's made by the same studio that gave us The Expendables. Take that for what it's worth. #1 - JANE GOT A GUN (SEPTEMBER 4)Wrapping up summer 2015 will be Jane Got a Gun, starring and produced by Natalie Portman. This movie had a VERY troubled production. The original director, Lynee Ramsay (We Need to Talk About Kevin), left the film the day before production was supposed to begin. This incident was widely seen as unprofessional and could have ultimately ruined her career. Gavin O'Connor (Warrior) replaced her, but the movie lost several of its original castmembers in the transition. Critics and journalistis are definitely looking forward to Jane Got a Gun. It will either be the best movie of 2015 or the worst. There will be no middle.

I mean...I loved We Need to Talk About Kevin, but the title "Jane Got a Gun" is awful, and completely off-putting.

10 CARTOONS THAT SHOULD BE REBOOTED!Disney announced today that a new DuckTales will premiere in 2017. If this opens the lid on cartoon reboots, then here are 10 that should be made. #10 - CAPTAIN PLANETWe all love making fun of Captain Planet, but we all watched it as children and it was an important cartoon. It's 2015 and Global Warming is still a debate. Adults can be idiots sometimes and educating the adults of tomorrow is the best defense. If it literally takes Captain Planet to save this planet, then so be it. #9 - ROCKET POWERMost children these days spent an unhealthy amount of time indoors. Any cartoon that can promote sports and spending time with friends in real life is a good thing. #8 & 7 - THE FLINTSTONES AND THE JETSONSSeth MacFarlane was supposed to make a Flintstones reboot a few years back but got sidetracked by his movie career. That's a shame but I don't think Warner Bros should give up. Try another reboot, and if it works, also bring back The Jetsons. These are classic characters and newer generations should be exposed to them beyond cereal's and vitamin bottles. #6 - JONNY QUESTJonny Quest is one of the earliest action-adventure cartoons on television and it had successful reboots in the 1980's and 90's. It's time to bring the character back for today's kids. #5 - BEETLEJUICETim Burton and Michael Keaton are developing a sequel to their beloved 1988 movie, Beetlejuice. But you know what else was awesome? The Beetlejuice cartoon. People forget but Beetlejuice was a big deal back in the day. There was the movie, the cartoon, the stage show at Universal Studios' theme park and the popular Halloween costume. They can bring all that back. #4 - THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERSPeople are pissed off about the new Ghostbusters movie. Sony can rectify that by bringing back the cartoon. Most people who love Ghostbusters also love the cartoon. So bring it back. It doesn't even have to be for kids. Make it an Archer-style show for FX or Adult Swim or Comedy Central. There's money to be made here, Sony. #3 - ANIMANIACSSteven Spielberg is turning Minority Report into a TV show. Fuck that! Bring back Animaniacs. It was one of the defining cartoons of the 1990's and it can be that today too. #2 AND #1 - DARKWING DUCK AND GIZMODUCKDisney, if you're rebooting DuckTales then also bring back Darkwing Duck and GizmoDuck. Merge them into the Marvel universe and throw Howard the Duck into the mix. There's money to be made here, Disney.

Darkwing Duck rules. It's my personal favorite cartoon show from my childhood, and the one I was most obsessed with.

Wait did Gizmoduck ever have his own cartoon? How did I miss out on that? Both DuckTales and Darkwing Duck were really well done.

No. Gizmoduck never had his own show. Your list lied to me. It didn't. GizmoDuck was a main character in season 3 of DuckTales and a recurring character on Darkwing Duck. He has earned the right to be reconstructed for today's youth.

How about no to the very idea of messing with more classic cartoons in a reboot. Only good rebooted series was Cartoon Network Heman and The MasterS oF The Universe and Justice League and Transformers Energon.

TOP 10 SUPERHERO MOVIE THEMES/SCORES (WHATEVER WORKS BEST FOR THE GOOGLE BOTS)
Danny Elfman has been hired to contribute music or fix the music, depending on who you ask, for The Avengers: Age of Ultron. So in honor of that, here's my list of the best superhero movie themes or scores. I won't offer any explanations. I'll just let the music speak for itself. So sit back and enjoy.
#10 - THOR: THE DARK WORLD (2013) BY BRIAN TYLER
#9 - THE MASK OF ZORRO (1998) BY JAMES HORNER
#8 - THE ROCKETEER (1991) BY JAMES HORNER
#7 - HELLBOY (2004) BY MARCO BELTRAMI
#6 - THE AVENGERS (2012) BY ALAN SILVESTRI
#5 - THE SHADOW (1994) BY JERRY GOLDSMITH
#4 - X2: X-MEN UNITED (2003) BY JOHN OTTMAN
#3 - ROBOCOP (1987) BY BASIL POLEDOURIS
#2 - SUPERMAN (1978) BY JOHN WILLIAMS
#1 - BATMAN (1989) BY DANNY ELFMAN

TOP 10 SUPERHERO MOVIE VILLAINSConsider this a counter-list to whatever John is doing. ALSO, to avoid repetition, I'm gonna use one version of a character. We don't need The Joker to be half the list. #10 - OROKU SAKI / THE SHREDDER FROM TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (1990)The Shredder's evil scheme in his live-action debut is very silly. He ordered a group of teenagers to be petty thieves and then probably sold that merchandise to Asia. In the world of supervillains, he's a very ordinary criminal. But it's his presence that makes him standout. His costume. His voice. The way he's shot and lid. It's pure theatrics and I love every minute of it. #9 - NORMAN OSBORN / THE GREEN GOBLINFROM SPIDER-MAN (2002)Of all the villains that appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Doc Ock is the favorite. But I always preferred The Green Goblin. Yeah, he's cheesy and over-the-top, but that's what I love about the character. He's a great counter to Peter Parker and Spider-Man who tend to be sappy. A lot of the entertainment value from the first Spider-Man movie comes from Willem Dafoe's borderline comical performance. #8 - ANDREW DETMER FROM CHRONICLE (2012)Chronicle is a superhero movie that's produced within the found footage genre. We follow a trio of high school students who get superpowers and then get involved in a bunch of shenanigans. But one of the characters comes from a broken home and we see him slowly turns into a supervillain. It's a very dark and emotional movie and Dane DeHaan delivers a phenomenal performance. #7 - DAVID BANNER / THE ABSORBING MANFROM HULK (2003)I understand the criticism for Ang Lee's Hulk. The Hulk looks like Shrek on steroids and his weakness is Jennifer Connelly's vagina. But that whole spousal abuse and child abuse backstory is very interesting. The villain in this movie is the hero's mentally unstable and physically abusive father. That's some deep shit for a summer blockbuster aimed at children. #6 - BUDDY PINE / SYNDROME FROM THE INCREDIBLES (2004)Speaking of villains too deep for children to fully understand, there's Syndrome from The Incredibles. There's two ways to look at his character. On one hand, he has a brilliant mind that he used for evil. On the other hand, he's angry and resentful towards people with special abilities. He's a psychologically complex character and a great counter to the traditional superheroes that inhabit this world. #5 - ROBERT G. DURANTFROM DARKMAN (1990)In a movie where the main villain stands on top of a construction site and shouts, "I BUILT IT! I BUILT IT ALL", Robert G. Durant is a very laid back criminal by comparison. He's technically a henchman, but since he's the main baddie in the sequel, I'm gonna count him for this list. Played brilliantly by Larry Drake (of L.A. Law fame), Robert G. Durant is a cold-hearted gangster who'll murder people without blinking and keep their fingers as a trophy. He's on top of the line between traditional and eccentric and I can't think of another bad guy in the genre who comes close to him in uniqueness. He's also the only villain in a superhero movie that resembles Peter Lorre and Edward G. Robinson and those type of bad guys from early cinema. He stands out. There's no doubt about it. #4 - SELINA KYLE / CATWOMANFROM BATMAN RETURNS (1992)There's one thing that unites lovers and haters of Batman Returns: Catwoman. She is an emotionally and psychologically tormented person who is literally murdered by her boss. And when she's brought back to life, she is so broke inside that she rather commit suicide than embrace the genuine love of the hero. That's some deep shit for a summer blockbuster aimed at children. #3 - GENERAL ZODFROM SUPERMAN II (1980)There isn't a supervillain more insanely quotable than General Zod in Superman II. He's so ridiculous, and yet so serious, that it's hilarious. Terence Stamp should have gotten like five Oscars for this performance. #2 - ERIK LEHNSHERR / MAGNETOFROM X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (2011) AND X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST (2014)I enjoy Ian McKellen's portrayal of Magneto, but despite all his preaching, he always came across as a regular villain to me. Michael Fassbender is the one who added complexity to the role. We know he's the bad guy, and yet, we root for him. He always makes a strong argument and all his actions are perfectly understandable. When the U.S. and the Soviet's joined forces to blow him up in Cuba, were you upset that he stopped those missiles and threw it back at them? Of course not! In his position, you would have done the same. Magneto blurs the line between villain and hero. #1 - THE JOKERFROM THE DARK KNIGHT (2008)Was there any doubt that The Joker would be #1? I literally gave it away at the beginning.
