1, 3 and 5 are very solid. 2 is blech, 4 is better but isn’t anywhere near as good as the odd numbered ones. Even if you aren’t a big Skyfall fan I find it hard to believe that it’s weaker than the second-worst Mission Impossible movie.

The retroactive Skyfall hate is perplexing. It's the best Craig Bong movie by a landslide and a top 8 or so entry in the franchise.

I've never seen any of them after 2. Worth watching? Boy you missed out one when they started getting great. I love Skyfall. It's hands down my favorite non-Connery Bond film (Goldeneye is up there too). It honest to god felt like the only Bond movie that tried to treat Bond as a character. Ghost Protocol on the other hand is just a lot of fun. It's just an old fashioned, breezy spy caper. I like both films about equally, but if I gave the edge to either I'd say Skyfall is better. But for the most part they are two way different takes on the spy genre. |

They made it so hyper focused in realism... So they use a visualized hacking sequence, as you will, and also we're able to blow up a room using a gas leak with pinpoint accuracy. And the bad guy getting caught on purpose trope was played out years before.
Skyfall looks pretty and doesn't have bad scenes per say, it's just a meh for me.
Casino royale is my favorite Craig bond but it is not without it's faults (poker anyone?) But it came out as the first one in the new set up and raised my expectations.
Water wars was awful but I'll chalk it up to the writers strike. And Spectre was just a jumbled mess I really don't wanna sit through again. Craig being paid the most of pretty much all actors working today (at least front end money - according to variety) still shocks me.
